Cogeneration Plant

As part of a joint venture, our team was hired to perform Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) services for a cogeneration unit at an industrial facility. The project included a new gas turbine for power generation producing approximately 85 MW and a new heat recovery steam generator for steam production up to 800,000 lbs. per hour. The project also included two auxiliary boilers for steam production of 400,000 lbs. per hour.
This cogeneration plant significantly reduces operating costs for the facility through more efficient equipment and produces cleaner energy with the use of natural gas. With this transition, the plant has seen a 43 percent decrease in nonhazardous waste leaving the plant.
